Since 1995, A-Pro, and its trainers of home inspectors, has been providing education, training and support services to its membership and the real estate community in order to better serve the public consumer. Inspector members must faithfully follow ISHIs strict Code of Ethics and adhere to the Home Inspector Standards developed by the association.
A-Pro requires its members to take and successfully pass a comprehensively detailed written examination on the myriad of systems and components in the construction and maintenance of residential dwellings. A-Pro provides all testing to make sure that A-Pro members are fully certified and backed by a comprehensive National Home Warranty program to assure the licensed business owners clients that they are truly qualified to perform a compressive home inspection. All A-Pro members are also required to complete a minimum of 16 hours of continuing education annually.
Continuing Education Credits (CEC) may be obtained only through pre-approved sources such as monthly chapter educational meetings, chapter toolbox seminars, spring and fall state conferences and other approved origins. It should be noted that A-Pro keeps current records to ensure that its members are complying with these requirements.
It is A-Pros educational mission to encourage the educational growth of the individual through participation in ISHI membership activities and programs where the sharing of experience and knowledge will result in betterment of the real estate profession and the consumer public which it serves.
